Description
Senior Wealth Manager
Locations: Houston, TX
Firm Type: Fee only Independent RIA with in-house tax preparation and filing
The Opportunity
Are you an elite advisor who loves closing business and serving clients but hates cold calling?
Our client—an award-winning, Investment News "Best Place to Work"—is looking for a Senior Wealth Manager to lead client relationships in their expanding office. This is a pure fee-only fiduciary environment (no product sales, no commissions) with a path to partnership for top performance leaders.
You will specialize in serving a sophisticated niche of corporate executives and professionals, supported by a thriving in-house tax business and a dedicated business development team that provides a consistent stream of prospective client meetings.
The Value Proposition
- Built-In Lead Flow: You are not responsible for finding new business leads. Business Development sets the meetings; you gather data, present the value, and close.
- Holistic Infrastructure: Collaborate with our in-house CPA team for tax preparation and mitigation. Use our full back-office support so you can focus on advice, not ops.
- Executive Focus: Become an expert in complex compensation, benefit strategies, and tax-efficient retirement planning for high-level professionals.
Essential Responsibilities
- Lead Relationship Management: Take full ownership of client cases, "quarterbacking" all tasks with support from Analysts and Associates.
- Lead Prospect Meetings: Meet with warm leads identified by BD, deepen relationships, and onboard new accounts.
- Comprehensive Planning: Oversee the preparation and implementation of financial plans, investment strategies, and annual reviews.
- Thought Leadership: Contribute content targeted toward our niche executive clientele to further establish the firm's authority.
- Continuous Planning: Utilize financial planning software to provide ongoing, dynamic guidance throughout the year.
Qualifications
- Credentials: CFP®, CFA®, or CPA designation required.
- Experience: 5+ years in financial services, ideally with a focus on high-net-worth or executive clients.
- Education: Bachelor’s in Finance/Accounting required; Master’s, JD, or MBA preferred.
- Mindset: A "client-first" fiduciary approach with the ability to manage complex cases independently.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary + bonus structure.
- Full benefits: Medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance.
- 401(k) with company match and generous PTO.
- Incentivized continuing education and support for industry conferences.
